I used my Master's degree in Youth Work and Practical Theology to inform the Biblical pages, and ten years of experience teaching kids about Jesus to know what's most important to include. The words of the prayer were carefully crafted to not only rhyme, but also be full of Scriptural truth.
 
The prayer has 5 parts:
Acknowledge God as Father and Provider
Thanking Him for life and safety of the family
Invitation to become aware of His nearness
Activation to being Kingdom-builders
Surrendering plans before Him
 
This is how this prayer sets up the whole family for a day that will be lived near God wherever everyone goes - to work, to school, to playgroup. It acts as an anchor until the whole family reunites in the same place again that evening.
